Fillings
When you feel pain or sensitivity in your tooth, it is mots likely that you have a cavity which needs to be treated. White coloured fillings (composite fillings) are done to eliminate your pain and restore your tooth. It is done in one to two sessions depending on how deep the filling is.
Root Canal Treatment (RCT)
When the cavity has reached your nerves, doing a filling is not enough and an RCT needs to be done. Which involves cleaning the roots from all the infection, shaping it and then filling it. A crown is given at the end of the treatment to prolong the life of a root canal treated tooth. Local anesthesia is given before the treatment to ensure a pain free procedure. RCT involves 3 sessions and giving a crown involves 2 more sessions.
Simple Extraction
When the tooth can not be restored or saved, then extraction (pulling out the tooth) is done. Local anesthesia is given before to ensure a painfree procedure. A few precautions are told after the treatment and the healing occurs in a week or so. A follow-up is done a week after the procedure.
Surgical Extraction
Some wisdom teeth are embedded inside the bone, which requires surgical extraction. X-rays are done to decide this. The bone is cut and the tooth is taken out in pieces. Suturing is done in the end. Local anesthesia is administered before the treatment to ensure a pain free procedure. A few precautions are told after and the healing occurs in two weeks or so. A follow-up is done one week after the procedure to ensure proper healing is taking place.
If you have bad breath, loose teeth, swollen and bleeding gums, then you need to get your scaling done. The Dentist will examine your teeth, gums, bone and over all oral hygiene and decided whether the patient should go for a scaling or a deep scaling.
Scaling
It is a one day procedure which is done in 30 mins. Scaling is recommended annually to keep your teeth and gums clean and healthy.
Deep Scaling
It is done if the case is more severe and a simple scaling is not sufficient to treat the patient. It usually requires a total of four sessions. Each session takes up to 40 – 45 mins. A few precautions are told to the patient after every session. Local anesthesia is administered in the beginning to ensure a pain free procedure.

It involves lightening the shade of your teeth. A special gel is put on your teeth to do so. It is a one day procedure which includes two to three cycles. The whole procedure takes about one hour.
Composite Buildups
When there is a chipped tooth or minor discrepancies, they can be fixed through composite (tooth coloured) bonding.
Dental Veneers
Veneers are done to help change the shape and size of your teeth. It involves shaving a part of your tooth. It is usually done during a smile make over procedure.
Crown
A crown, also known as a cap covers the exposed surface of the tooth for a better appearance and strength. They can be made up of zirconia or porcelain fused to metal (PFM). Zirconia crowns are better than PFM crowns due to their aesthetics and high strength which makes them last longer as compared to PFM crowns. It takes about two to three appointments.
Bridge
A bridge is made up of multiple crowns. It is usually given if one or two teeth are missing. It is a fixed unit. It involves shaving the teeth next to the missing teeth to provide support. It takes about two to three appointments.
Partial Denture
When multiple teeth are missing, a partial denture is a good option for a removable unit. It requires multiple appointments.
Full Mouth Denture
When all of your teeth are missing, a full mouth denture is advised usually in old age. It is also removable and requires multiple appointments.
The best option for missing teeth are dental implants as they are fixed and have the longest life. A screw is placed inside your bone and after a few months, the tooth crown is placed. Multiple visits are required.
